Home Rennovations

Happy Sunday Bloggy Friends :)

Well as you've noticed I haven't been around much in blog land lately and that's because I've been busy doing home renovations!

We've completed one room so I thought I'd show you the pictures of the progress.

The after shot isn't quite how it will look in the future because we've moved our queen bed in there so we can make a start on the master room.  It's a bit of a tight squeeze with the big bed in this room but hopefully it will only be for a few weeks.

It's taken a little while to get this room down cause we've been doing everything our selves and we've been learning along the way.  With all this renno work it hasn't left me much time for crafting unfortunately.

This is the first room of many so I can't see myself getting back full swing in to crafting for some time yet!!

Once again here is the before and after -

I hope you all enjoyed a little peek into my world right now.

I'm sorry for not commenting on your blogs as much as I have wanted too but believe me I'm still reading them every day :)

Relax and enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon!

Just Add Ink 140 - Chevrons

Aren't you just loving chevrons at the moment?  I know I am...... really thinking of adding some into my home decor. I've seen some pretty curtains and cushions on pinterest and I'm seriously considering getting some.

So you might have guessed that this week at Just Add Ink we are adding ^^^CHEVRONS^^^ to our creations.

I've got chevrons on both my papers and do you think I could also include the ends on my ribbon too?

This new cotton ribbon from Stampin' UP! is so easy to work with!  I was worried that it would be very thick but it's so thin and soft.  You can also stamp on it too and I think Christine (one of the other DT members) has done just that for her card this week - love products that are versatile.

Seriously there is some amazing work by the Design Team this week so I really hope you pop over to their blogs and leave them some comment love. All of the DT would love to see your creation so please link up here.

Now get creating!!!!

Get well butterflies!

Hello lovelies!

Today I've got a cute little card to show you that I created using this weeks muse, Julia over at CASE Study.

Her card is square however I decided to use a rectangle layout but think I've kept this card fairly similar to her design.  Julia used pink and craft as the main colours on her card and so have I except I've chosen different hues!!!

BFF gave me the Papillon Potpourri stamp set as part of my birthday present recently so I couldn't wait to put it to use.  The butterflies are so delicate and pretty in this set - heart them!!.

I've used
Paper - Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Kasiercraft DSP

Ink - Crumb Cake, Pink Pirrouette and Early Espresso
Stamp Set - Papillon Potpourri
Other: White embossing powder, Whisper White ribbon and Rhinestones

This is Julia's card that was the inspiration from CASE Study -

Happy Monday!

Just Add Ink #138

Ohh yay I just loooooooove the colour combo this week at Just Add Ink - Summer Starfruit, Basic Grey and Whisper White!

Have you used the new colour Summer Starfruit yet?  I think its a great colour (so in fashion right now) and would actually make a good yellow for a male card.

I've used
Paper - Summer Starfruit, Basic Grey, Whisper White and Basic Grey DSP.

Ink - Summer Starfruit, Kraft and Basic Black
Stamp Set - Stippled Blossoms
Other: Summer Starfruit satin ribbon, Embossing powder and Scallop trim border punch

Here is the colour combo

Seriously the Design Team have outdone themselves this week so you should pop over and check out their work.

I can't wait to see how you use this fun colour combo!

Thank you!

This card is for my BFF (I haven't posted it to her yet but it will arrive in the snail mail soon!).
It's a Thank You card to say a big thanks for the lovely gifts she gave me for my Birthday recently. She spoiled me rotten!!

I've used the theme at Addicted to Stamps and More which is 'Spring' and combined it with the sketch at Clean and Simple.

It seems like it's been such a loooong time since I've played along with any challenges and I've got a few new stamp sets I've been meaning to break into so the public holiday today was the perfect opportunity to do both.

I've used
Paper - Gumball Green, Crumb Cake and Very VanillaInk - Gumball Green
Stamp Set - Blooming with Kindness, Bity Banners and Bordering with Elegance
Other: Gumball Green satin ribbon and pearls

Here is the sketch from Clean and Simple

I hope you all enjoy your week!
