Just Add Ink #290 - Colour Combo

It's challenge day at Just Add Ink and Jan has suggested a great colour combo for us to try!

The colours are Watermelon Wonder, Garden Green, Crushed Curry and
Sahara Sand.  I'd never think to use these colours together but they really do work in nicely together.

I thought they worked well as a little twist on the traditional Christmas colours :)

The Watermelon Wonder looks really red in these photos but in really life they are a bit pinker!

Would you believe I don't have any Garden Green ink! Luckily I had some cardstock and dsp I could use for this challenge.

Just Add Ink #288 - Sketch

It's sketch time at Just Add Ink this week!

There are so many things in this world to be grateful for but how often do you take the time to thank someone for something they've done and show them you've appreciated their help?
I know for me that I often verbalise my appreciation but I think it's nice to also put some action (like a little card or flowers) with those words.
This sketch was the perfect opportunity to create a card for one of these occasions.

I've embossed a piece of black core'dination paper and then gently sanded off the top so the white peeped through.

I put this behind my starburst cutout (although from this picture it's hard to tell it's sitting behind) and for the final touch I put on a big 'Thanks'.

I really hope you get to make time for yourself to play along with the Just Add Ink sketch this week.

Just Add Ink #286 - Just Add W

Welcome to a fun new challenge at Just Add Ink this week!

This week we are challenging you to Just Add something beginning with W to your creation.

When I first saw this challenge I thought it was going to be really difficult but then I started thinking...... and I actually managed to get 2 W's on mine - can you guess what they are?

The two W's are water colour and washi tape!!!!

You should definitely head over to the JAI blog and see the other W creations - some of which I didn't even think of!!!

Just Add Ink #284 - Fancy Fold

Hi lovely readers!!!!

This week the challenge at Just Add Ink is to create a card with a fancy fold.

I thought this was a great opportunity to create a really special Christmas card :)

It's always nice to have some sparkle on a Christmas card so I've added some glitter for tinsel on the Christmas tree.

Here you can see the card completely unfolded. I've left some blank space in the inside so you can still write a message.

Just Add Ink #282 - Inspiration photo

Hello Hello!

Today at Just Add Ink we have a beautiful inspiration image that will surely get you into the craft room.

I really love the colour combo that this picture incorporates so that's the main focus of my inspiration on this card.

I've also used some pretty little pompoms to mimic the paper balls on the photo.
