This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is to add Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, and Early Espresso!

For my card I've used the new stamp set currently on offer at Stampin' UP! called - Reason to Smile. 
I stamped out the flowers 3 or 4 times and then fussy cut each layer out, this helped create a real 3D effect on the card.

I just love my champaign shimmer mist and I couldn't help and use it on these flowers to make them all sparkly!

I've used
Paper - Naturals Ivy, Marina Mist and Early Espresso
Ink - Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi
Stamp Set - Reason to smile
Other: Early Espresso ribbon, Frameletts, embossing folder and Pearls

Paper Players 101

I had a quick moment free so I thought I'd play along with The Paper Players this week!

There sketch this week was perfect for me to layer up some craft and black patterned paper that I picked up on sale ages ago at my local craft store.

See that cute little pin.... well I recycled it! It was pinning a tag to a shirt I purchased recently and I thought it was very sweet, so I just had to use it.

Here is the sketch

It's been miserable here for the past few days...cold and raining....  Hopefully it clears up soon!!!

Just Add Delys

This week at Just Add Ink the challenge is to Just add Delys -one of our very tallented design team members!

I've got a few sneak peaks in this card from the up coming annual catalouge for Stampin' Up!

I've used
Paper - Very Vanilla, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Glitter paper and Real Red DSP
Ink - Real Red and Soft Suede
Stamp Set - 25 and Counting
Other: Wild Wasabi ribbon, Bakers twine, Real Red button, Swiss dots embossing folder and Rhinestones


There were so many inspiring cards on Delys' blog to choose from but this is the one I decided to CASE.

I almost forgot!

I almost forgot to show you the swaps I made for convention and the ones I received in return!!!

Ok so here is the one I made (I made a Pink Pirouette version and similar one in Real Red and another version in Island Indigo)

I used some shimmer mist on the flowers in the background

Stampin' UP!'s Convention pics

Just over a week ago I went as I guest to Stampin' UP!'s South Pacific Convention!!!!!

It was so much fun and I learnt so many new techniques and tips.

I stayed with BFF and we had such a nice time - here is a pic of us at the creative class.

At the creative class there was a massive sweet table that was filled with so many yummy lollies!!!

It was so lovely to meet many of my fellow JAI design team members in person.

And this picture is of us all dressed up for the awards dinner!

I really had such a great time at convention and next year it's going to be here in Brisbane so I'll get to see all these lovely ladies again.
Woohoo I can't wait!!!

I promised you I'd be back soon!!!

I've been very busy (and lets face it...a bit lazy!) but I've finally managed to get into my craft room and create a card for a challenge blog.  I jumped on the computer and searched all my fave challenge sites and decided I liked the look of the Clean and Simple sketch 193.

Although I'm not really sure that this card qualifies as clean or simple. I just kept adding bits and pieces when I probably should have stopped!!

And since it's my off week at JAI I thought I'd enter it in for their Just Add Pearls challenge this week :)
