Mojo Monday 127

Hi Peeps, this week I've gone for a Easter themed Mojo Monday Sketch.

Can you see how the colour inspiration came from the picture in my last post?????

I love this cute little bunny from the Forest Friends set, although it was hard to cut out yesterday as it was very humid here and the paper seems heavier and less firm. It's much harder to work with.

So here it is

I've used:
Paper - Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron
Stamp Set - Forest Friends, Mini Messages and a Verve Easter stamp
Other: Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, So Saffron Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie Ink, Pumpkin Pie flower brad and dew drops.

And here is the Sketch

T and I are going camping at Easter with some family and friends - Have you got any Easter plans yet?

Rusy gets some paint

Some of you might remember my last post about Rusty my bicycle project!

Last time I had taken all the paint and rust off. Check out the photos of her getting her primer and paint on.

It's so close to being finished and I'm just dying to get out there and try her out but she still isn't together yet. I'm waiting on a main part to arrive and when I get it Rusty will be together with in a few hours.....it's so close!

Check out the cute seat that I brought, with just a dash of pink - Can't wait to see it on the bike :)

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge # 57

It seems to be the week for me to try out new challenges!!!

Today I've participated in the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #57

There were so many things I was thinking of doing with this card but I thought I'd keep it simple. To tell you the truth I think it looks a bit boring and I kept it too simple.

Any way here it is:

I've used:
Paper - Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Brilliant Blue, Ballet Blue, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue and DSP in Brocade Blue (That's a lot of blues!!!)
Stamp Set - Birthday Wish
Other: Brocade Blue ink and Nestabilities

Here is the sketch for this challenge:

Clean and Simple #79

I came across this great blog called Clean and Simple, which as the name states the sketches there are clean and simple!!!

This week I decided to give it a try as I really like all the sketches I've seen on there so far.

Here is what I came up with

I've used:
Paper - Whisper White, Craft, Old Olive and Barely Banana
Stamp Set - All the Best
Other: Button, Twine, White embossing powder and Nestabilities

Here is the sketch for the week

Mojo Monday 126

This week's sketch went again my nature to have everything square and in line, with it's angular features. So I did find it a challenge!!

Here is my creation this week

Stamp Set - Whimsical Words
Other: Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, White Brad and Felt Flowers

Jolinne Stamp

I found this cute cute cute stamp on My Favorite Things.

Meytal creates gorgeous prints of Jolinne that are just wonderful you can see them here at her shop. Here is an example of one....... I wish I had a little girl so I put this up in her room!

Here is a little bit about Jolinne (the girl in the stamp):
Jolinne is a very shy, noble and naive little girl.
She is also beautiful inside and out, but ... she doesn't realize this yet.
Like most little girls, she enjoys fantasizing and dreaming ... a lot,
She likes to pretend she's a different character from another era;
from another story.
She believes she can be anyone she wishes ...
And when the real world whispers to her again,
she steps out of her imaginary world and returns to herself;
to the happy, beautiful, very unique little girl that she is ...

She reminds me of me when I was younger....and perhaps a little bit still now.

Here is what I've done with the stamp, it's for a 12 year old's birthday next month.

I've used some Crystal effect on the balloons to give them a shiny look.

I think I really need to get some Copic Markers because they just look so much better.

Mirror

Well you wouldn't believe it but i was going to post last night but we had a big black out at our house. It was nice to have some rain and cool things down a little bit here because it's been so hot and humid! However it was annoying that I couldn't do anything on the internet.

You might remember I brought a mirror a little while back to do up.

I didn't do much to it other than paint it white and give it a good clean up.

I'm really impressed at how it turned out!!!!

Valentines Day

I hope you are all having a romantic valentines day filled with lots of love.

To spoil my T I took him away to a little cottage just inland of Noosa in a small town called Pamona. We had a great afternoon yesterday exploring the country side with our mountain bikes. It was extremely humid so it was quite difficult. It was fantastic to sit back and relax afterward by the lake with a few drinks to cool down.

We had a lovely view to a beautiful mountain from our deck where (with no TV) we played trivial pursuit for most of the night. It was so amazing to spend time together with out any distractions and in such a beautiful place.

Enjoy today.

Tomorrow I'll show you my finished mirror that you may remember for an older post!!

Mojo Monday 125

I've done two cards for this Mojo Monday one in Rose Red and one in Chocolate Chip.

I've used:
Paper - Whisper White, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip and Close to Coco
Stamp Set - Pocket Silhouettes and Whimsical Words (NEW!)
Other: Rose Red and Chocolate Chip Ribbon

Here is the sketch for this week:
I didn't like the little bit at the bottom so I decided not to include it on mine - I guess that is the excellent thing about these designs, you can take them and make them your own.

Do you have a weekly challenge that you enter?
I'd love to check out your entry's so leave a comment and I can have a sticky beak at what your up to.

I'm Back

I'm back from Canberra and what a quick trip it was. I was so happy to see
my wonderful friend who looked after me so well as I was feeling a little bit
under the weather from a few too many drinks the night before.
We had a great time catching up and it was so good to give her a big hug!!!

Since seeing her on Sunday and getting my HUGE package of Stampin Up products
I've been dying to get some ink on my new sets.

The new sets I've got are:
Vintage Labels (Saleabration)
Whimsical Words (Saleabration)
Sweet Birthday (Summer Mini)
Occasional Greetings
Great Grads
I also got a few punches, ribbons and papers!

T and I had a fantastic time at the engaement party we went to and T was
asked to be one of the groomsmen. (Guess that means we will be back in
Canberra at the end of the year for the wedding!!!)
Here is a pic of the two of us from the night

Well I'm off to create my Mojo Monday entry for the week.
Have fun oggling my new sets :)

Rusty

So the name of the 'old come new' bike is Rusty!!!

Her frame is fantastic now we have taken off all that surface rust, it's so shiny.

I even found this little heart lug on the bike - how sweet!

I've been spending my card making time in the garage over the past few days getting the frame prepped for it's primer.

I can't say I'm used to all the dirt and grim that gets on you in the garage. Also you can see me here using a power tool - YAY so exciting. Makes you feel like you can rule the world with one in your hand.

T's been great helping me out and showing me how to do things. It's a real learning curve, but I must say I'm extremely pumped about it.

It's hard to know that there is still so much to do until it will be ready. When I make cards it's easy to finish off three or four projects in one sitting. I'm just bursting to get Rusty on the road!!!!
