I've been meaning to share these beauties with you for a while now!!
I brought these 6 silky oak dining chairs just before Christmas and I had planned on doing them up over the holidays but unfortunately I was really sick over Christmas and didn't get around to it.
I had no plans this weekend or any chores as I'd done them during the week so it was a perfect weekend to make a start on them.
When I brought them their paint had been stripped by a paint stripper so they needed a really good sanding!!! I spent most of Saturday sanding them, patching up holes, replacing screws and gluing up some loose parts.
Today I started painting on the sealer. I set up in the sunshine and was only there for a few minutes before I decided it was way to hot, so I moved under a tree in some shade. I was there for a good hour before it started raining and I had to quickly pack up and I set up again in the garage. After a little lunch break I went back out in to the garage but the sweat was pouring off me as it was quite humid after the rain. So I didn't get as much done today as I would have liked.
How ever it did give me a couple of hours in the craft room and I'll show you later this week what I created.
I'll keep you posted on how my chairs turn out :)
Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Happy Friday! Today is Day 24 of the Holiday Card Series, and it’s a fun
journey through fixing mistakes and using the first card made as a test
run. Haha!...
FINALLY I see these chairs! Must have been frustrating moving in and out half the day :o) glad you got a start on them though. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I love the idea of mismatched chairs at the dining table. These are gorgeous and will look really great when you have finished them. Can't wait to see them.

I can't wait to see them when they're finished. I've always loved the look of mismatched chairs but sadly hubby doesn't :(
