It's new challenge day at Just Add Ink and the colour combo picked by Mae certainly challenged me!
I automatically wanted to make a Christmas card with the colours - Cherry Cobbler, Baked Brown Sugar and Garden Green but I resisted and decided on something different.
I've also used Very Vanilla as a neutral to soften the colours a little bit as I found them all to be very strong.
I also added some gold shimmer mist to the flowers which you might be able to see in the picture below.
The challenge this week is actually running for 2 weeks so you've got plenty of time to make your creation and link it up!
Here's the colour combo
If you're heading to the Stampin' UP! convention next week I hope you have a fab time and I'll be thinking of you all dancing the night away!
HOC WEEK 16: STAMPIN' UP! MERRIEST TREES CHRISTMAS CARD
-
After a break last week, for a trip to New Zealand, I'm back to share a
card for this week's Heart of Christmas blog hop.
The Merriest Trees stamp set...
Well Trish you took the challenge and made a beautiful card, love your layers and your row of beautiful pearls.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of this challenge - nice to see something completely different with these colours. Love that little sentiment xox
ReplyDeleteThis is beautifully elegant Trish and so full of light. I love all the subtle details that add so much like the lacy doily and DSP patterns. xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. You've done well with the colour combo. Subtle and sweet.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Trish! Your minimal use of the colours looks fab and so different...love it!
ReplyDeleteWill miss catching up with you this year. xxx
Beautiful Trish. I like how you have layed the CS up to create the softer look.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to Convention either...sadly. :-(
This is totally my favourite card Trish - so elegant!
