Simple Christmas cards

I'm not sure about these cards - do you think they are too plain?

I love the little flower in the corner and that is what started my inspiration for these cards, but now I'm not sure if they are just too simple.

Christmas Trees

So I've stuck to traditional colours again with these sparkly Snow Swirled Christmas trees.

I popped some crystal effects on, then sprinkled glitter over the top to give these beautiful trees some extra Christmas cheer!

I can't believe how quickly this year has gone and there is only one month left to go!!!
I've heard that time goes quicker as you get older, if that is true I'll be missing them with the blink of my eye with in no time!

Dasher

Well I'm back home from my traveling and my Christmas mojo is still here!! Yippee!

I've been busy creating more Christmas cards that I'll show you over the next few days. I've really enjoyed making them and I'm really starting to get into the Christmas spirit!

This is the first time my Dasher has seen ink - I just love this little guy!

I just love the traditional Christmas colours so I've stuck to Real Red and Garden Green for these two cards, with just a little touch of bling.

I hope you have a great week :)

Even more Christmas cards....

I'm on a roll with my Christmas cards this week!

On these cards I've used the So Swirled Christmas tree which I really like, it's one of my favourite stamp sets. I've added some bling as no Christmas tree is right with out a shimmery sparkle at the top!!!

I'm loving the satin ribbons from this years Stampin UP! catty, they really look very classy.

I've got to go away for work for a few days but when I get back I'll be jumping straight back into the craft room and hoping my Christmas mojo is still around.

More Christmas cards

How cute are these red felt Christmas trees????

I found them at my local Spotlight and just loooooove them! They are all joined together and are self adhesive.

I wanted to keep the cards simple so that the felt trees took the main focus.

I wish that I'd found the trees in green too as they would have looked fab also!

Starting Christmas cards

Ohhh it's about time I started on some Christmas cards!!! I can't believe how quickly it's come this year, I must get started on some shopping too!

This card was inspired by a clean and simple sketch earlier this month.

If you want the details for this card just drop me a line.

Hope you have had a fabulous weekend :)

First of the season

I have a new local market just near me that opened up 2 weeks ago and I finally got to check it out on Sunday.

There are all sorts of stalls from green grocers to second hand books!!!

BUT the greatest find was these beautiful Peony's - my favourite flower :)
They are the first of a very short season so I need to make the most of the coming weeks.

New storage!!!!

My collection of stamp sets has slowly been growing and my piles have been getting higher and wobblier!
I don't really have the best space available to put them and I've finally had enough of the messiness (see pic below).

I've been look around for some new storage and I saw this on ebay that I thought would be just perfect!! How cute would this be painted white!!! But I think it's going to sell for quite a pretty penny.

So Mum got me thinking that there may be something else out there that would be suitable. So we took a trip to Ikea today to see what they might have that would work.
I'm so glad we did because we found a very cute white stand that is just perfect!!!

We spent the afternoon putting it together and arranging all my stamp sets on it.

So what do you think??

I think it looks much neater!!!
Now to find some time to make some cards :)

Credit where credit is due!!!!

You all remember the card I made here as a thank you card for my lost package. Well I also made one very similar to give to my BFF and I totally forgot to give Adele and Lisa credit for it!!!

We made a very similar card at their catty launch party a few months back now. It was their card that gave me inspiration to make the others.

They are both great creators and Adele just got Top Pick at Just Add Ink this week - so pop over to their blog and check it out.

Thanks Adele and Lisa for giving me such wonderful inspiration!!!

Hugs and Kisses to you both

Kiki Cupcake

I've had a little quick play with some of my new things and came up with this little cutie!!!
I just adore this little cupcake Kiki from C.C.Designs , isn't she just the sweetest?

I'm a huge fan of pink and chocolate together!

It was nice to make this card, no sketch or colour challenge - I just did what ever I felt like!!!!!!
I really like challenges as sometimes I feel swamped for choice so they help give me direction but it's also nice to let your mind wander.

Do you enjoy challenges or do you like to make cards with your own inspiration????

I've used:
Paper
-Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip DSP

Ink
-
Copics
Stamp Set - Kiki Cupcake
Other: Glitter, Pearl, Buttons, Twine and Nestablilities

Order from America

I've been waiting for a little while for a big package of things to arrive from America. I ordered a few things since the Australian dollar is doing so well. It arrived while I was away so it was like Christmas when I got home!!!

I got a new tool caddy from Amy Butler, goodies from Paper Tray Ink and C.C.Designs - can't wait to start using it all :)

Sorry this picture is poor quality but I was in such a rush to unpack it all I all most forgot to even take a snap.

I hope you have all had a lovely Monday.

Lost Package

Last week my BFF sent me a HUGE parcel of Stampin UP! things, I was soooooooooo excitied to be getting a whole stack of new products.

But it wasn't delivered on the day it was suppose to be, nor the next....... we were both worried.
We contacted postal service several times to find out where the package had been delievered, but to no avail.

My heart was broken, no new products and several hundereds of dollars down the drain. It was now 5 days after it was to be delivered so I had come to the conclusion that I would never see it.

That is until a WONDERFUL person from 2 streets over knocked on my door - package in hand!!!
Apparently it had been delievered to her house by mistake. I was OVER THE MOON!!!!

So I decided to make her a little Thank You card and pop it over to her house with a bottle of champers.

Here is what I made.

It's not often you find honest people like that these days and I am so grateful that there are.
So again a big THANK YOU to this amazing lady.

ps I'm headding down to Canberra to see my BFF this week, which I'm totally excitied about!!
Unfortunately I have to do some work for my day job while I'm there too and that means no crafting for nearly a week!!!!
