Just Add Ink #325 - Sketch challenge

This week at Just Add Ink there is a super versatile sketch challenge designed by Tina!

I've decided to flip the sketch and create a shaker card.
I made this card for my Niece who recently turned 1 :)

I thought she love all the shine and noise of a shaker card!

Here is the sketch

Check out what the Design Team have created here.
Of course don't forget to link up your creation as I'd really love to see your take on the sketch.

Happy Friday!

Just Add Ink #323 - Just Add F

Hey happy Friday!
Can you believe it's August already.... wooah slow down time.

At Just Add Ink this week the challenge is to add something starting with F.  At first I was stumped as to what I could do.... there's the obvious one - flowers.... but it took a little time to think of what else I could do!

So there's the big flower, I've also added a pleat fold, added a 'friend' sentiment and used the new in-colour Flirty Flamingo!!!

When I first started thinking of ideas I never imagined I'd find so many 'f' things to have on my card.

I'm really keen to see what you can come up with so please link up your card here.
And if you're looking for inspiration head over to the JAI blog and see what the other Design Team members have created!

Just Add Ink #321 - Just Add Paper piecing!

Hello Hello happy Friday to you all!!!

This week the challenge at Just Add Ink is paper piecing :)

What is paper piecing.... well my understanding is it's about using pieces of paper and piece them together or into place.

So I've used some DSP and pieced it in the place of a shirt for this little birthday boy.

I made this card with a little birthday boy in mind who is turning 2 this weekend and we'll be attending his party - and the weather looks like it 's going to be amazing!

I've winked up his balloon but after photographing it I think I should have used some crystal effects instead.

It's the first time that I've used my copics in a long time so it took me a little while to colour this guy in.

I'd love to see your interpretation of paper piecing so please join in the challenge here.

If you need a little more inspiration pop over to the JAI blog and check out the other Design Team creations.

Just Add Ink #319 - Inspiration photo

Hi everyone!
There's a fun inspiration photo challenge at Just Add Ink this week.

I found the image to be very Christmas looking given that wreaths are generally hung on doors at Christmas time!

As you can see I've taken inspiration from the wreath and created a black, white and red wreath (with a little splash of gold)

I was originally thinking that I wasn't going to create something with a Christmas theme but as it all came together I couldn't help but put a Christmas greeting on it.
The colours are so versatile that I probably could have used several different types of sentiments!

It's probably a little hard to tell from the photos but I've added some gold shimmer to the background and also to the red flowers.

Here's the inspiration photo

There are so many different cards that the Design Team have created this week so don't forget to head over to the blog and check them out.

Can't wait to see how you interpret this image!!!!

Just Add Ink #317 - Colour combo

Just Add Ink have a colour combo challenge this week that I think lends it's self perfectly to be used with flowers.

The colour combo is Flirty Flamingo, Rose Red, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz!

I don't have any of the new Stampin' Up! in colours yet so I've used Blushing Bride instead of Flirty Flamingo.

For this card I've used a couple of stamp sets from Altenew. Including this beautiful 'celebrate' sentiment which I've fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals.

I was really tempted to use my wink of stella on the flowers but I resisted and let the little sequins steal the bling show :)

I'd really love to see how you used these colours - with flowers or not!!

Here's the colour combo -

Happy Friday!
