Last weekend Mum and I went to the local flower markets.
It was so lovely to just wander around, look and smell all the beautiful flowers. Ever time I go there I am amazed to find flowers I have never heard of or seen before.
I was hoping to find some of the first Peonies (my favourite) for the season however they had sold the few bunches they received.
Instead I bought these bright and cheery flowers! They are huge - I'm not joking the biggest ones are the size of dinner plates!!
They have been cheerily sitting on my dining table and I can't help but smile every time I walk past them!!
It's amazing how having a bunch of flowers in the house just lifts your mood.
I'd love to know what your favourite flowers are!
Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday.

Those flowers would bring me a smile every time I walked past, too! They're gorgeous! I haven't been to the flower markets for a few years. The last time I went, I picked up daffodils, jonquils, gerberas, irises, freesias...all my favourites. I also love roses, but I prefer them on the bush and highly fragrant. I don't like those flower shop scentless monsters that drop their heads the minute you bring them home. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose are definitely 'happy' flowers and would be sure to brighten any house. My favourite flowers are ranunculi but I do adore good old roses too x
ReplyDeleteThese gorgeous bright flowers would have looked perfect on your dining table! Beautiful. xox
ReplyDeleteWow - what colour! I love that they're so big, too; what happy flowers. Peonies are my hands-down favourites, too! Tulips are a close second.
